Therefore, it is called Anna (food), which is one of the sheaths, Annamaya Kosha. The body is the material sheath of our existence. It is the physical vehicle available to us to interact with the creator. We need to nourish it and nurture it so that it helps us to achieve our eternal bliss.

We Are What We Eat

We all are made of five elements- air, water, space, fire and earth. Every moment we breathe in and consume air. Similarly, we consume food and water daily, which become a part of us. That is why is said that ‘We are what we eat’. Hence, nourishing our bodies with nutritious and healthy food is a very important aspect of self-care and well-being. Authentic self-care is about managing the inner world, and the panic value of food plays a vital role.
